NSW Government launches Parents NSW Vouchers

As a thank you to parents for their efforts during periods of homeschooling over the past two years, the NSW Government has launched their $192 million Parents NSW vouchers scheme via the Service NSW app.

Parents with school-aged kids can now receive 5 x $50 vouchers to spend and support NSW recreation, arts, entertainment and accommodation businesses – sectors that have been badly impacted by the pandemic.

Here are all the details you need to access and use your vouchers if you are an eligible household:

• The 5 x $50 Parents NSW vouchers can be used:
  • 7 days a week, including public holidays
  • at Discover NSW businesses for entertainment and recreation activities
  • at Stay NSW businesses for accommodation bookings until 9 October 2022.

• To apply for the Parents NSW vouchers, you must be:
  • a NSW resident
  • the parent, guardian or carer of a child who was aged 4.5 to 18 years in 2021 and enrolled in school which includes:
    • students from kindergarten to year 12
    • home-schooled students
    • secondary school education students at TAFE NSW.

• One person from each eligible household can apply once, regardless of how many school-enrolled children live in that household.




• You can use each voucher once but you can combine all 5 of your vouchers to make a purchase. You can even combine your vouchers with another household’s vouchers for purchases of up to $250 if the business allows




• You can not combine your vouchers with other Dine NSW, Discover NSW or Stay NSW vouchers.




• To apply for your vouchers: 
  • Check the eligibility criteria.
  • Select the ‘Apply online’ button.
  • Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  • Follow the prompts to apply for the vouchers.
  • If your application is successful, you’ll find the vouchers under the ‘Vouchers’ section of the Service NSW app, within an hour.

Parents can apply via MyServiceNSW account on the app and online.
